Director of AI Engineering

European health-tech unicorn (~3,000 employees, Paris HQ + Berlin office). Lead the AI Practice Efficiency team: intelligent scheduling, automated document processing, smart task management, AI-assisted patient communication. Define technical direction for AI product-engineering strategy in partnership with Product, Design, and Data Science. Drive cross-domain AI adoption and establish shared AI infrastructure. Responsible AI in healthcare context (safety, explainability, regulatory compliance). Requires 12+ yrs engineering, LLM integration & RAG architectures in production, evaluation frameworks. Preferred: healthcare/regulated-industry experience. Hybrid (up to 2 remote days/week).
